Today’s example race is the 8:40pm Ballinrobe.

The top rated is well clear of the second and the bias A is extremely weak, suggesting this is one to back in.

The only positive rated horse in the race makes this a simple choice of backing this clear top rated with confidence.

Today’s example race is the 3:30pm Newton Abbot.

Two strong averages that we can use to cut the field down to three possible winners.

I am going to back the top rated and hopefully this time he will last home, we was on him LTO at 14/1 when he just tired and got caught in the run in.

The second and third are obvious dangers but the handicapper may have got hold of them.

Today’s example race is the 6:40pm Haydock.

Top rated and clear of the second, the negative bias suggests we should be looking at a back bet in this race and with only two rated above the bias B average the field is cut down to two possible winners.

I have backed the top rated due to it been clear rated and having the clear “master” rating, the master rating indicates the horse is the best on previous form. This is an extra rating associated with the ratings and points you in the right direction of the classier horse in the race.

Today’s example race is the 6:20pm Hamilton.

I have gone for two lays in this race today even though the bias’s are weak, the reasoning behind the lays is that both are system lays and the top rated is from a trainer I can never seem to get right, so a bit of a personal approach today, but the selections are system lays.

Today’s example race is the 8:25pm Bath.

At first glance it looks a tricky race, however I think the ratings have narrowed down the field to four possible winners, cutting the field in half.

Both biases agree that this is indeed a tricky race, but I am happy to get involved in both backing and laying in the win market due to some strong stats and system bets.

The top two look good to me according to the ratings both well clear of the third and fourth rated, the fourth rated is currently trading around 5.00 and has come up as a lay on one of the systems and since this is a strong bias race I am happy to lay it, the other lay that is highlighted by the systems is Party Palace, again I am happy to lay it at around 8.8 in this strong bias race.

Now that the liabilities are mounting up I need to decide whether to get involved on the top two or just leave this as a laying race, but as I have previously mentioned sometimes an opportunity arises that has to be taken, even if after the result you are wrong!

I follow the gd40 system practically blindly depending on how many they are in a race, today there is only one in this example, so the fact it is also highlighted as “value” suggests to me this is one of those opportunities.

At the prices I must admit to been tempted to dutch my bet with the second rated but since I have laid two others in the race, I believe that my liabilities cannot be justified, which hopefully by now you will realise that is what this game is about. If however you are not a layer, then dutching them in my opinion is the sensible option.

Firstly you can find today’s shortened version of the race in question by clicking here.

Today’s example race is the 6pm Killarney.

For starters this looks a good betting race indicated by the negative “Avg Rating” and confirmed by the “Bias A”.

Well clear on ratings and with only two others rated above the “Avg Rating of Bias B”

The top rated is clearly value odds which are indicated by the “value” symbol.

No lays in the race, the only one indicated on the laying system didn’t fall under my odds cut off.

Clear top rated by 69 of the next best, makes backing the clear top rated at 7.8 a simple choice.

WIN Selection: NORWICH BOY

Today’s example race is the 2:15pm Beverley.

The bias A and bias A average are both negative suggesting this is a backing race, with only two rated positive they look the two to concentrate on.

They are not dutch material in my eye mainly down to their respective odds, however the top rated is classed as a “value bet” and therefore is the selection for this example.

Update

Hi,

Just a quick update.

Firstly I have had to remove the excel files attached to each days example, I will continue to remove them at the end of each week to keep the blog clean.

A few of you have noticed this isn’t our main website that’s over at http://advancedratings.sports.officelive.com/

However the idea of this blog is to take over from our website, so you will notice a few pages been added over time while we build this into our new website, but the examples will be kept in the same place.

Today’s example race is the 2:00pm Ayr.

A race with one system lay and three system backs, the lay is my selection in this race due to the fact it’s a strong enough bias to have a lay and also I love laying this horse, we have got it beat numerous times.

The back bets that are highlighted are two value bets and one gd40, the odds on offer at present make me want to get involved in backing all three but I will leave that decision until closer the off, however I will be having them in a combo forecast.

LAY Selection: DUBAI TO BARNSLEY

Today’s preview.

You can find today’s race and ratings by clicking here.

Today’s example race is the 5:10pm Stratford.

The bias A is weak enough for this to be a good opportunity to get involved in a back bet, the ratings are telling me that only three are capable of winning the race and only two of them are above the bias B average.

Any of the three could win but the “value bet” is Cootehill, even though its second rated I believe it offers more value than the other two.

WIN Selection: COOTEHILL
