Today’s example race is the 9:00pm Salisbury.

The bias’s don’t particularly favour this as a backing race, however with no system lays in the race and only one system back bet it seems sensible to have a bet on this top rated.

It has strong form indicated by the horses previous form figures in blue and is the clear master rating in the race which means it’s the “best” horse in the race on form figures.

Today’s example race is the 6:15pm Cork.

The bias A is weak and with only the top rated above the average of bias B it makes sense to get involved on the top rated.

The second rated is the ½ favourite so it looks like we are up against it, the place price for the top rated doesn’t really inspire me to get involved so a small win bet on the top rated is the choice.

Today’s example race is the 2:20pm Warwick.

The average of bias B suggests that two have a chance, the top rated however has strong form indicated by the previous form figures in blue.

Has a plum draw again indicated by the draw number been blue, the race also has a significant draw bias this is known because the race has both blue and red draws.

The fact that the top rated is also the top rated on master form makes this an easy choice, and to boot it’s selected by four systems including the “value bets”.

The trainer is also bang in form, you have all the trainer form stats available at a glance but to tell whether the trainer is in exceptionally hot form you just need to glance at the trainers name, if its in blue it indicates hot form if its in red it means the trainer is out of form.

Today’s example race is the 5:30pm Newmarket.

The clear top rated catches the eye at 11/2 and one I definitely want to get involved with, having strong previous form and been the top master form rated adds to the confidence.

It is also a gd40 system pick which has amassed over 200 points profit to a level stake in only a few months, so this bet shouldn’t be ignored.

There are also three system lays in the race which I will also play, mainly down to the strength of the bias’s and the fact they are trading at odds of 3.7, 9.6 & 14.00.

Today’s example race is the 8:40pm Southwell.

A fairly tough looking race on ratings and the biases are suggesting its better for laying in, and with one system lay in the race that is what we will do.

We also have another option and one I am keen to take because of its price and respected system. The back selection is currently available at 20/1 and is a gd40 system, so it makes sense to play both the systems here.

Today’s example race is the 6:50pm Ripon.

This race looks best tacked via the top rated at 14/1, the bias A is weak and the average of bias B indicates we should be looking at the top three rated.

In a selling race like this we obviously don’t have the most consistent horses so a small back bet on the top rated looks like the pick from this example race.

Today’s example race is the 4:30pm Brighton.

This race has two system bets one “value bet” and one lay, the value bet is top rated and I may have a small bet on it later, but my main concern is getting the system lay beat and that is my selection for this example race.

This is a selective system lay so it makes sense to take advantage of it been in this example race.

Today’s example race is the 6:00pm Bellewstown.

We have one system lay in this race and that is the 5/2 favourite, it has a poor rating and is a must lay at the price.

There are plenty of other horses rated higher than it to give us a chance of getting it beat, so it makes good sense to have a lay on this favourite.

Hi today’s preview.

You can find today’s race and ratings by clicking here.

Today’s example race is the 6:15pm Bellewstown.

A definite backing race in my experience, the top rated is 10 clear of the next best and with only 1/3rd of the field rated positive.

There are however five system lays, which only one falls into my odds cut off and the other four look like been over my buffer zone for this system.

I must admit I am tempted to lay Tradewinds and more than likely will closer to the off, however my main priority is getting stuck into this back bet on Napa Starr.

The bookies have it around 11/2 in a place and generally 6/1 and Betfair as most will know are not going to have much liquidity on this race for two reasons, they been its an Irish race and secondly because its an evening race to boot.

The ratings point out its a “value bet” and obviously top rated, the stats suggest the jockey riding Napa Starr is significantly better at the course than any other jockey riding in the race.

The stats also point out that the trainer is knocking in winners and considering the time of year and this been an Irish National Hunt race, this becomes a bit more to our use, I am more than happy with 9/2 plus on this horse and one I will be backing.

WIN Selection: NAPA STARR

Hi,

Today we have the second example of the ratings, I best say now that I will be doing this for the next 14 or so days and detailing an example of how to use them regarding that race.

The examples may be back bets, lay bets or just races to avoid, I will do my best to detail why I am backing, laying or avoiding the race.

I will admit beforehand that these are not all random picks of the ratings, some days a clear stand out bet will be available, or a race that looks too hard to obtain full confidence about will be amongst them.

I will also try and keep them short and to the point but I apologise beforehand if I ramble like yesterday, I am not a tipster nor is this a tipping service, it may appear like one with these example ratings going on here in the shape of a tip, but that’s mainly so people understand I am either backing, laying or avoiding that race. If you want to follow these as tips then that’s your own choosing, but hopefully it will convince you that ratings are a good source of narrowing down a field, highlighting back bets or lays, and seeking “value” based on the ratingS.

Please click here for todays example race.

Today’s example race is the 6:30pm Newbury.

This looks a good betting race indicated by the negative “Avg Rating” and confirmed by the “Bias A”.

Well clear on ratings and a trainer bang in form, also a system pick albeit a system that hit the woodwork 7 out of 10 in May.

This clear top rated looks the one to beat and with no other system back bets or lays it looks a simple choice of backing Arab League to win.

WIN Selection: ARAB LEAGUE
