The second day of the Cheltenham Festival was a great day for betting, especially for my clients of the horse racing ratings.
The day started with the Diamond Jubilee National Hunt Chase for Amateur Riders’, this novices’ chase looked very competitive, however we managed to find the 5/1 winner to get the day off to a good start.
The Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle was next up and one of my stronger fancies for the meeting in the shape of Simonsig was available at 3/1. He showed some true class to beat Felix Yonger by 7 lengths, landing some hefty wagers.
The RSA chase has always been one of my favourite races at the Festival and having backed Bobs Worth ante post before the Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase at Ascot I must admit to been a bit worried after Invictus out stayed him. The news that he needed the run after his wind op was a relief but I did think Invictus looked top class. Bobs Worth was top rated for the RSA chase and looked a massive price and he duly obliged at 9/2! Our laying betting system also highlighted Grands Crus for a lay at 6/5.
We then had the winner of the Champion Chase at 4/1 having been as big as 6/1, this completed a four timer for the day, which paid around 500/1
We hit a few nice top rated winners at the other meetings today, most notably Flag Of Glory whom won at 14/1 and was a notebook horse and a key stat horse, this combo is exceptional!
